Volunteer Opportunities

At Skyview, there are many opportunities to volunteer your time, through various ministries and outreach programs. To volunteer with any of our ministries, contact the ministry coordinator by following the relevant links.

Hospitality

Local Outreach

Skyview’s hospitality team serves our church and community throughout the year for various events, cooks pre-prepared meals for families needing some meals throughout the week, and serves coffee on Sunday mornings in our coffee ministry. Skyview Reaching Out (SRO) serves our community by creating opportunities for our congregation to serve and building relationship with local organisations. Some local outreach opportunities that you can currently join include food bank distribution (Tuesdays) in the mornings and/or evenings, community gardens, food donations and stocking of our Helping Hands Little Library and Little Pantry, Neighbour Day, installing sports equipment on the property, and other events and projects. Music & Tech

Our worship and tech team are the heart of our Sunday mornings. They not only help us to enter into a mindset of worship and invite us into the pretense of God, but they also handle all backend tech, such as livestream, sound, camera, and lights. Skyview Kids

To ensure a safe space, background checks and an application is required to volunteer on our Skyview Kids team. We also as that people be a part of our community and attend for six months prior to starting to serve in our children’s ministry. Facilities

Facilities is always looking for people who may only be able to help once for smaller projects or more often for ongoing or larger projects. Some of what the Facilities Team takes care of are landscape projects, minor construction, drywall repair, painting, improvement projects, decor, cleaning, and flower bed care.
